It reports where the car is
A hidden unit sends the vehicle's position continuously, so you can see it in an app whenever you want — not only when something is wrong.

It notices when it shouldn't be moving
Movement without your driver tag, or outside an area you've set, raises an alert. That is the moment a theft becomes recoverable.

Someone acts on it
With S5 a manned control room takes over — they ring you, and if they can't reach you they work with the police to get the car back.
The only decision that matters
S7 or S5?
Forget the brand names for a moment. Almost every tracker on this page is one of two Thatcham categories, and that is the choice that changes both the price and what happens on the night your car goes missing. The exception is the MetaTrak Shield, which is self-monitored, carries no Thatcham approval and will not satisfy an insurer — worth having on a second vehicle, no use at all as an answer to a policy condition.

Had my Mercedes C180 in with Kaine to replace both front suspension springs. I knew that this was not an easy job on this car. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was ready that afternoon. Had my Audi S3 in for a complete overhaul — Kaine supplied and fitted all the parts, including cam belt, water pump, a full service and a balance shaft delete. He also noticed one of my rear callipers was sticking, so recommended and fitted a new calliper and new rear discs and pads too. A 5 star service — I'll only use Kaine from now on for any mechanical work.

Tracker FAQs
Does my insurer need S5 or will S7 do?
Ask them, and get it in writing. Most standard policies are happy with S7. Higher-value vehicles and anything with a poor theft record usually attract a specific S5 requirement — and if they have asked for S5, an S7 will not satisfy them no matter how good it is.
Why is there a subscription at all?
A tracker has to stay connected to report anything, and with S5 there are people staffing a control room around the clock. That is what the subscription pays for. We quote it separately and in writing so you can see the true total before you commit.
Will a tracker stop my car being stolen?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. A tracker helps you get the car back afterwards. If you want the theft prevented in the first place, that is an immobiliser — plenty of our customers fit both, and we'll happily price them together.
Can you fit it at my house?
Yes. Everything here is fitted at your home or workplace across Milton Keynes and the surrounding towns. Most take two to four hours and you keep the car throughout.
What happens if I sell the vehicle?
The subscription can usually be transferred to your next car, and we can move the hardware across for a small labour charge. Give us a ring before you sell and we'll sort it.
Do the driver tags need charging?
No. They run for a long time on a replaceable coin cell, and the system will warn you well before one needs changing.
