About the Collect and Deliver MOT
What if it fails while you have it?
We ring you with the failure and a price, and you decide. If you would rather take it elsewhere we bring the car back to you as agreed — there is no penalty for saying no.
Do I need to be there when you collect it?
Someone needs to hand over the keys, but it does not have to be you. Plenty of collections are from a workplace car park rather than a driveway.
Is my car insured while you have it?
Yes. It is covered by our motor trade policy from the moment we take the keys to the moment we hand them back.
When is my MOT due?
Send us the registration and we will tell you. You can test up to a month minus a day early without losing any of the remaining time.
Is an MOT the same as a service?
No, and this is worth being clear about. An MOT is a legal minimum-standard test on the day. A service replaces the things that wear out so the car does not fail in the first place. You need both, and doing them in one visit is the cheapest way.
